I have several goal both for school in general and for the Teaching as a Profession program that I will strive to achieve by the end of this school year.
School in General Goals:
- Avoid negativity and drama as much as possible and instead promote and embody positivity all year
- Apply and get accepted to Tennessee Technological University to major in elementary education
- Increase my composite ACT score
- Follow my chosen motto of “above and beyond” by demonstrating it in my work ethic, participation, leadership, grades, and any other things
Teaching as a Profession Goals:
- Get several days a week of hands on experience in the classroom setting
- Successfully keep and update this blog
- Develop multiple lesson plans around the TN standards for 1st grade
- Focus on Higher Order Thinking Skills and implementing Bloom’s Taxonomy with each lesson
- Expand my knowledge about education and the teaching profession
